Privacy Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2026 · Last updated: January 1, 2026

ClaraDx ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the ClaraDx clinical decision-support service ("Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account or subscribe, we collect your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely by Freemius — we do not store credit card numbers).

1.2 Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and session duration. This data is used to improve the Service and is not tied to individual patient information.

1.3 Clinical Input Data

ClaraDx processes clinical information you enter (symptoms, exam findings, lab results, etc.) to generate assessments. We strongly recommend that you do not enter personally identifiable patient information. We do not sell or share clinical input data with third parties. Clinical inputs may be processed by our AI provider (Anthropic, Inc.) to generate responses — see Section 4.

1.4 Communications

If you contact us by email, we retain your communications to respond to you and improve our support.

2. How We Use Information

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

4. AI Processing and Anthropic

ClaraDx uses the Claude AI API provided by Anthropic, Inc. Clinical information you enter is transmitted to Anthropic's servers to generate AI responses. By using ClaraDx, you consent to this processing. We have configured our API usage under Anthropic's terms, which do not permit use of API inputs for training AI models. Do not enter personally identifiable patient information — use clinical findings, age, sex, and presenting symptoms only.

5. HIPAA

ClaraDx is not a HIPAA-covered entity and is not designed to store Protected Health Information (PHI). Users are solely responsible for HIPAA compliance in their clinical practice. Do not use ClaraDx as your electronic health record or patient information system. If your institution requires a Business Associate Agreement (BAA), please contact us at legal@claradx.online.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure payment processing via Freemius, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure. You use ClaraDx at your own risk, and we encourage you not to enter personally identifiable information.

7. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active plus a reasonable period thereafter for legal and business purposes. You may request deletion of your account data by emailing privacy@claradx.online.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, and opt-out of marketing communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@claradx.online.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, email privacy@claradx.online.

10. Cookies

ClaraDx uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.

11. Children's Privacy

ClaraDx is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at privacy@claradx.online.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
